itelligence Opens New North American Headquarters and Data Center
itelligence, a leading provider of consulting and support services for SAP solutions, announced today the opening of its new North American headquarters and data center at Legacy Pointe, a development park at 10856 Reed Hartman Highway in the Greater Cincinnati city of Blue Ash, Ohio. Now in full operation, the grand opening will formally be celebrated with two upcoming events, including an employee party on August 10 and a customer event on August 21.
“With this new building, we are planning for the future and expecting further growth at itelligence in the US,” said Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG. “Together with the new building for our company headquarters and the data center, we are creating an outstanding platform through which we can present ourselves to our customers as an efficient and future-oriented partner. Somebody once told me that prominent companies like to be associated with the city from which they come. And I hope that itelligence will be soon as beneficial and positive for the image of this city as we now are in Germany.”
Steve Niesman, president and CEO of itelligence U.S, added, “The headquarters and data center relocation and expansion reflect itelligence’s business success and aggressive growth of over the past several years. These amazing, custom-designed facilities not only meet our current and future space needs, but they also demonstrate our commitment to providing the best employee experience and keeping customers’ needs foremost in all aspects of our business.”
The 8.09-acre site is home to two structures—a new 70,000-square foot, Class A office building and a state-of-the-art, 16,000-square foot data center— representing more than 86,000 square feet in new construction. Features include ready access to I-71, I-275 and Ronald Reagan Highway, as well as many convenient area amenities, including restaurants, hotels, and retail shops. The one-year project was managed by Duke Construction between July 2011 and June 2012. Additionally, the City of Blue Ash and the State of Ohio upgraded infrastructure in and around Legacy Pointe to improve accessibility to the site and enhance the appearance of the area.
Employing approximately 350 workers locally, with the ability to expand over time to meet the needs of itelligence’s growing customer base, the new facilities also offer enhanced benefits, including more training and conference rooms for teams, projects and career development, and a cantina.
“The new office and data center fits with itelligence’s pride in providing high quality SAP services to customers,” said Niesman. “It will provide long-term operational efficiencies that address employee needs and industry growth trends, and demonstrate strategic return on investment value to stakeholders.”
itelligence’s SAP Hosting Data Center was designed according to the Uptime Institute’s Tier IV definition and provides complete redundancy throughout all the infrastructure components. It features the highest levels of security, redundancy, efficiency and communication options, as well as a number of energy efficient features directly linked to its global ‘Green’ initiatives. For example, energy efficient lighting throughout the buildings, efficient cooling and next-generation UPS systems, with lowest energy loss and a ‘free cooling’ option that utilize outside temperatures.
“We pride ourselves on providing flawless, top-quality SAP managed hosting services to customers,” Niesman explained. “The investment into the new data center underlines itelligence’s commitment to ensuring the best new technologies to customers, while considering economical costs and enhanced environmental responsibility.”
